Payment Policy
Last updated: 27/06/2026
This Payment Policy explains how payment works at Ravebook, why we have chosen a Cash on Delivery model, and what to expect when your parcel arrives. It is written to give you complete clarity and to meet the transparency requirements of UK consumer law and Google Merchant Center.
1. Our payment method: Cash on Delivery (COD)
Ravebook accepts one payment method only: Cash on Delivery. You do not pay anything when placing the order online. Instead, you hand the exact amount in cash to the Royal Mail courier at the moment your parcel is delivered to your door.
All prices on ravebook.shop are shown in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay — there are no hidden fees, no surcharges, and no delivery costs.
2. Why we chose Cash on Delivery
- Maximum trust — you only pay once the parcel is physically in your hands.
- Zero card data risk — we never collect, store, or transmit card, banking, or digital wallet information on our site.
- No online payment fraud — removes risk of stolen card transactions for both customers and our business.
- Accessibility — customers without a credit/debit card or who prefer not to share financial details online can still shop confidently.
- Simplicity — one straightforward process for every order, every time.
3. How the COD process works, step by step
- You add items to your cart and place an order on ravebook.shop. No payment is taken at this stage.
- We send you an order-confirmation email showing the items, total amount due, and delivery address.
- We dispatch your parcel with Royal Mail within 1–3 business days and send you a tracking number.
- The courier delivers your parcel within 2–5 business days of dispatch.
- At your door, you hand the courier the exact cash total in GBP. The courier issues a delivery receipt.
- Your order is complete.
4. What you need to have ready
- The exact amount due, in GBP cash. Couriers are unable to provide change for large notes.
- A valid form of ID may be requested for higher-value orders (for example to confirm you are 18 or over where age-restricted products are included).
- Your order number, in case the courier needs to confirm details.
The total due is shown clearly on your order-confirmation email and on the Track Order page.
5. If you cannot pay at delivery
If you are not able to pay when the courier arrives, the parcel will not be left and will be returned to our warehouse. We understand that situations change, but please be aware:
- A single non-payment will be treated as a cancellation and no further action is taken.
- Repeated non-payment or refusal of delivery (more than two occasions) may result in a re-shipping or restocking fee being applied to any future orders, payable up-front by bank transfer before dispatch.
- We reserve the right to refuse future orders from addresses with a history of refused COD parcels.
6. Refunds
Because we never collect card or bank details when you order, any refund is issued by UK bank transfer to an account in your name. Please provide:
- Account holder name
- Sort code
- Account number
Refunds are processed within 14 days of approval. Full details are in our Returns & Refund Policy.
7. Order limits
To keep COD safe for our couriers and customers, individual orders are limited to a reasonable household amount. For larger or business orders, please contact us at support@ravebook.shop to arrange a bespoke fulfilment plan.
8. Security and your privacy
Ravebook is not a registered payment processor and does not handle electronic payments. We hold no card data, no IBAN, and no payment-account information. Cash is handled entirely between you and the courier, with the courier issuing the receipt. For full data-handling details please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Contact
